Somerset West Municipal Court closed for a half day for renovations

The City of Cape Town wants to advise the public that the Somerset West Municipal Court will be closed to the public from 13:00 on Friday, 31 July 2026, to allow for scheduled renovations.

The court will reopen and resume normal operations on Monday, 3 August 2026.

The public is encouraged to plan their visits accordingly. Where possible, payments of pre-due date traffic fines may be made online at www.paythat.co.za , or at selected SPAR stores, or at any other municipal court during these hours.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate the public's understanding while these essential renovation works are undertaken to improve the facility.

The Somerset West court is situated at Town Hall, on the corner of Main and Church Street in Somerset West
